Nicely done. I like the ambient texture to this song. I thought the original snippet had a lot going on already, but you’ve created a nice structure here – especially around the 2:00 mark.
So I dig the texture, but I want more to happen. You’ve got two complementary elements – the ambient textures and the drumbeat. One of them needs to contrast the other. What I hear is a lot more variation on the drum – maybe add some random reversed cymbal hits, double stops, etc. My 2 cents – I dig it though!
There’s something about the drum n bass portion that doesnt sit well with me. For DnB, it’s feels little too ambient.
I do think it’s pretty good quality though. I’m sure you could blast this in a car at 4am and be happy with it.
